Sridevi Kalavakolanu is Senior Director, Ethics and Compliance at Walmart.
In this role, Sridevi is responsible for all ethics and compliance matters at Walmart Global Sourcing, spanning 14 subject matters for Walmart’s sourcing offices, associates, and businesses around the world. Sridevi has over two decades of experience in designing, developing, and managing responsible sourcing and supply chain compliance programs across omnichannel retail. Most recently, Sridevi spearheaded the launch of Responsible Sourcing and Labor & Employment programs at India’s leading ecommerce retailer, Flipkart. She previously led the strategy and execution of Responsible Sourcing across Walmart markets and sourcing hubs in Asia and managed the transition of the program from audit to capacity building and supplier empowerment outcomes. She has also steered the implementation of key corporate initiatives including the Women in Factories Training Program that reached over 100,000 women workers in supply chains globally and the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety that established comprehensive safety assessment and training programs benefiting more than 1.4 million workers. Sridevi is a founding member of the Women’s Leadership Council at Global Sourcing and is active in mentoring and professional development of associates.
Sridevi’s previous experience includes consulting and training for a range of companies in the apparel, footwear, automobile, and energy sectors at Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) in San Francisco and promoting social enterprise at Ashoka: Innovators for the Public in Washington, DC.
Sridevi has a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University, a Bachelor’s degree in Japanese from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and was a Monbusho Scholar at Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. She lives in Bangalore, India with her husband and two daughters and in her free time enjoys travel and exploring new cuisines.
