Q: What inspires you to work at Nirapon?
Ans: To the best of my knowledge, Nirapon is the first organization to really focus on building confidence and self-ownership of safer workplaces and the implementation of a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS). Through its pioneering program, Nirapon has significantly contributed to raising awareness around the importance of safety among business owners, and their workers, and supporting sustainable business practices in Bangladesh.
Q: In what ways do you feel your work supports workers in Bangladesh?
Ans: Nirapon adopts an educational approach that creates opportunities for factory management to engage in working as a team to identify and design practical solutions for their daily operations. We offer support that helps build trust and improve the awareness of factories in performing effective safety management systems. The management system is key to achieving long term sustainability of these businesses.
Q: What positive changes do you see Nirapon making in the industry?
Ans: Many of our partnerfactories have already begun embracing a ‘culture of safety.’ Their active involvement in Nirapon’s Safety Management System powerfully demonstrates how a strong management framework can reduce operational errors and improve overall productivity.
